The Research Council of Norway supports our CANARY project

Through the "Innovation Projects in Business" initiative, the Research Council of Norway funds projects with extensive research and development activities aimed at providing a significant contribution to innovation and increased value creation for the companies participating in the project, as well as for the Norwegian business sector in general. Sensocure has succeeded in the tough competition for research support, and our CANARY project has been granted funding to develop a completely new patient monitoring system. This system will enable early detection of carbon dioxide (CO2) buildup in the body, indicating a critical condition for the patient. Examples include potentially life-threatening conditions such as sepsis, hypovolemic shock (acute blood loss), cardiogenic shock (heart failure), or critical worsening of serious chronic or acute respiratory diseases such as COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) or COVID-19. For these patients, early diagnosis and treatment resulting from pCO2 monitoring can dramatically improve prognosis and save many lives.

Sensocure will conduct the project in collaboration with SINTEF Digital, Department of Smart Sensor Systems, and Oslo University Hospital, at the Medical Technical Facility (OUS MTV). A national and international network of partners and subcontractors will be utilized.
